I've been stalking the local hummingbirds with my camera for months. They just move so often and so quickly. Just when you have the little fella framed perfectly, he leans to the right or left and moves 300 yards in a blink. It's maddening. To make matters worse, I believe that there are 3 hummingbirds living in that area, and they've come to regard me as a bit of a toy. They can make me jump by sneaking up behind me and making that insectile buzzing noise next to my left ear. Sounds like a six-inch bumble bee.
Ok, I'm going to get a bit professional with you in this blog entry. I'm going to change the site again, but I'm not going to do it quickly. I'm actually playing with all the site features from SquareSpace and planning out each gallery/project that I put on the new navigation. I've updated the "latest" page in the exhibits, so there are new photos on the site, but other than that, for the moment you're looking at most of the new content.
The purpose of the redesign is that I want the site to be more like a traditional photographer's portfolio. That means I'll be whittling down the content and posting more professional photos. Until now, this site has just been sort of a heap of all of my latest shots, and none of the photos has had to have a reason to be on the site. That's the part I'm going to change. Each photo on the new site will be professionally edited, and chosen to represent the theme of it's page.
Expect a big announcement when I finish.
