My cousin Charlotte came out again for a visit to California. This time we all planned a trip to San Francisco, and I had a wonderful time. Charlotte's family reminds me that we're all connected in some way to other people. For a guy with a camera, that's a great reminder. Along with the opportunity to snap portraits of people who are completely at ease around you, it's nice to be reminded of where you came from. My mom came out with her, and time with mom is priceless. I'm saving their portraits for Facebook, but I thought I'd share a few photos from the trip.
It rained on the first two days of our trip, but look at how beautiful this photo of the Bay Bridge turned out. It didn't really require much touch-up. Just the basics... no highlights, all shadows and adjust the whites and blacks. I'm kind of in love with this photograph.
I know it's March, but wow... San Francisco is cold for a guy who's used to L.A. weather. I took a bit of a detour on the way home. Did something I've always wanted to do, and it was awesome, but I think I'll keep that one for myself. It was a mind scramble though.
